Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an Accountant to join one of our large PBM clients, Prime Therapeutics. The main job responsibilities in this role include the following:

Review accounting records, financial statements or other financial reports created by staff to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Review and approve budgets and periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Create recordkeeping and accounting systems. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting and bookkeeping personnel and direct their work activities. Survey operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend and/or develop solutions to business and financial problems. Advise executives about issues such as resource utilization, tax strategies and the assumptions underlying budget forecasts. Review and analyze data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, extravagance, fraud, or non-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies. Analyze and verify annual reports, financial statements, and other records, using accepted accounting and statistical procedures to assess financial condition and facilitate financial planning.

Years of experience: Ideally looking for 5-10 years of experience accounting/finance experience

Specific skills and experiences needed: Primarily billing/accounts receivable experience with a large, complex organization. GAAP accounting (or CPA license) a plus.

Day-to-day tasks: Preparing client invoices and performing reconciliations between PTM Financials billing system and claims adjudication platform. Preparing journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations as part of monthly financial close process. Analyzing data. You will be working between a mid-market and large market team doing billing, invoicing, journal entries, Ad hoc troubleshooting for billing issues, etc.

Experience/qualities that would make a candidate stand out: Billing experience with large/complex organizations. Fast-learner, diligent in performing quality reviews of own work.

Skills and Requirements

-Verbal and written communication skills, attention to detail, and critical thinking.

-Expert ability to work independently and manage one’s time.

-Expert ability to apply accounting and mathematical principles to work as needed.

-Expert ability to analyze business trends and project future revenues and expenses.

-Expert knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures and regulations as related to accounting.

-Previous experience with computer applications, such as Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint, and any other related accounting software.

-Education/Experience: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related financial discipline required. -GAAP accounting (or CPA license) a plus null
