Business Analyst in Chicago, Illinois

Description

We are seeking a versatile IT Business Analyst with a strong aptitude for both business analysis and quality assurance. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on testing to ensure the successful delivery of IT solutions that align with business objectives.

Responsibilities:

Business Analysis:

• Elicit, analyze, and document business requirements through various techniques (interviews, workshops, document analysis).

• Translate business needs into clear and concise functional requirements.

• Create process flows, data models, and other documentation to support requirements.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure alignment and understanding.

Quality Assurance:

• Develop and execute test cases for regression and UAT testing.

• Identify, document, and track defects through resolution.

• Perform manual testing to ensure system functionality and data integrity.

• Collaborate with QA team members to ensure comprehensive test coverage.

• Analyze test results and provide feedback to development teams.

Project Management:

• Participate in project planning and estimation activities.

• Track project progress and identify potential risks.

• Facilitate communication and collaboration among project stakeholders.

  Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.

• 3+ years of experience in business analysis and requirements gathering.

• Proven experience in manual QA testing, including regression and UAT.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Experience with Agile methodologies (preferred).
