Who we are looking forThe State Street Alpha Portfolio Services team is comprised of Enterprise Business Solutions, Front Office Data Control, Front Office Support, Onboarding / Operational Readiness, Portfolio Control and Portfolio Admin functions. The teams are based in multiple locations across the UK, US, Poland, China, and India. They are also supported by global counterparts in other regions.Alpha Portfolio Services is increasing its talent to support client expansion onto our Front-to-Back, Investment Platform – Alpha; and has a number of exciting opportunities for motivated individuals. These are new roles, expanding teams in Enterprise Business Solutions, Front Office Data Control, Front Office Support and Portfolio Control functions, creating opportunities for development and growth in the future.Alpha Portfolio Services is developing a skilled team of Alpha professionals capable of both supporting the day to day operations of existing clients and assisting the implementation for new clients.Why this role is important to usThe team you will be joining is a part of State Street Global Delivery (SSGD). SSGD gives asset owners and managers access to the essential financial tools they need to deliver effective investment solutions. From core custody, accounting, fund administration and shareholder recordkeeping, to complete operations solutions and servicing for alternative assets like OTC derivatives, private equity and real estate, SSGD’ tools help our clients make better investment choices and act on growth opportunities.Join us if making your mark in the financial services industry from day one is a challenge you are up for.What you will be responsible forSuccessful applicants will be responsible for managing a combination of the following:Front Office ServicesFront Office Data Control
- Providing oversight and review of the daily reconciliation between CRIMS and State Street’s middle office IBOR record (RKS), on a Cash and Stock position and transaction level on a Trade date +1 basis
- Take ownership of issues to resolution, engage teams as needed to correct IBOR and CRIMS dat
Front Office Support
- Acting as primary contact point for the client’s Front Office team, triaging issues and ensuring they are resolved, calling upon internal teams where necessary
- Using CRIMS and excellent communication skills to provide a technical support service to clients requiring assistance with the front office systems
Middle Office ServicesEnterprise Business Solutions
- Maintain and develop State Street’s SQL based data warehouse (SSDD)
- Client query support on complex data set issues across Middle Office platforms
Portfolio Control
- Acting as gatekeeper of the IBOR record, ensuring the accounting period close and reopening process is adhered to
- Monitoring the overall health of the client’s portfolios. via the operational control framework
- As subject matter experts in the IBOR record, provide support for client operations teams with any operational client queries
Onboarding
- Project manage the client onboarding process from receipt, preparation, implementation and Hypercare, ensuring that the Alpha Portfolio Services group meet / exceed project deliverables
- Develop and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders including other business lines to help aid successful delivery of each workstream
- Assist in the analysis of current/proposed processes and recommend solutions and improved processes, drive the implementation of Operating Models, Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
In addition, the Alpha Portfolio Services Manager, Vice President will be expected to:
- Interact with all Middle Office teams (Accounting, Corporate Actions, Trading, Performance)
- Build cooperative and professional internal/ external relationships achieving group and client goals, utilizing all available resources throughout Global Delivery
- Interact with clients in a service oriented manner in particular in client implementations as well as business as usual
- Serve as senior escalation and closely monitor escalation queries and facilitate accurate and timely responses and resolution
- Ensure that the Oversight governance policy is adhered to at all times
- Ensure that operational client service delivery standards (KPIs) are maintained and enhanced where appropriate for our global delivery model
- Ensure that all offshore activity has appropriate administrative documentation in place via SLA’s, internal KPI’s and a monthly governance program in adherence to mandated Oversight policy
- Constantly review policy, procedures and controls in order to reduce risk and enhance operational service delivery and effectiveness
- Proactively work to conceptualize and implement measurable process improvements and client solutions
- Ensure full compliance with internal policies working with CIS, Risk and Compliance managers as required
- Provide global oversight management including regular reviews, objective setting and planning in line with business line and corporate goals

Education & Preferred Qualifications
- Minimum 7 years in investment management operations with a minimum of 5 years staff management
- Industry relevant qualifications, e.g. IMC, CFA
- Extensive knowledge of Front Office Service and Middle Office workflow is extremely beneficial, as is experience using of SSCD/ESP, EDM, RKS, OSA, SQL, CRIMS as well as GTM/TIER
