Job description
Hartley People Recruitment in partnership with our client are hiring a Manufacturing Technician in Kilkenny.Your main responsibilities will be:
- Conduct scheduled maintenance, diagnose and troubleshoot faults, and undertake repairs.
- Perform complex skilled maintenance and repairs, including mechanical, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Provide day-to-day operation support for conveyors, depositors, pick-and-place machines, and weighing machines.
- Compile and present technical feedback on engineering performance related to yield output.
- Lead maintenance and process issues, working independently or as part of a team.
- Monitor production processes, run diagnostic tests, and create comprehensive resolution reports.
- Certify and train manufacturing staff in production processes.
- Evaluate operating data to adjust products, instruments, or equipment.
- Identify and implement corrective actions for manufacturing-related issues.
- Install and validate equipment and processes in the production area to improve yield and reduce cycle time.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Minimum Level 6 qualification in a technical-related discipline.
- Strong technical and fault-finding skills.
- Experience with surface mount technology is an advantage.
- Proficiency in both electrical and mechanical disciplines is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge of industrial machines and the mechanical industry.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Work Order systems.
