Job description
The Director of Nursing, Assistant – Immunisation Services will:· Co-ordinate and manage a mobile vaccination service providing operational and clinical leadership deputising for the clinical lead, as required.· Liaise and collaborate with service managers, clinical leads, operational site base managers, and key stakeholders to promote integration in the implementation of Vaccination Programmes.· Lead and support national direction linked to Vaccination Programmes, demonstrating leadership by developing, implementing and driving local, regional and national agenda in collaboration with key stakeholders.· Ensure clinics are scheduled both on site and off site and associated staff rosters are complete.· In collaboration with the NIO, Public Health and other key services i.e. Social Inclusion, Primary Care, Older Person, Mental Health and Disability Services to develop a health protection role in combating vaccine hesitancy· Lead out on any changes to Vaccination Programmes supported by NIAC.· Provide clinical governance and leadership on Seasonal Vaccination Programmes, supporting increased vaccination uptake.· Plan and lead Vaccination Programmes for home based clients and clients in the community as appropriate.· Provide optimal and co-ordinated services to the community by developing and managing working relations with a wide range of stakeholders including colleagues within Health and Wellbeing, Primary Care, Older Persons, Mental Health, Disability Services, General Practitioners, Practice Nurses Hospital Groups, Voluntary Organisations, Representatives of Marginalised Groups, Statutory Bodies and other key stakeholders.· Promote the integration and collaboration which will support the coordination of vaccination programmes.· To develop sustainable service excellence.· Develop service design and models of care within Vaccination Programmes that are population based, multi-disciplinary and demonstrate integration across all service domains.· Lead the development of clinical governance frameworks and guidance and develop an integrated care approach in the design, planning and delivery of Vaccination Programmes with evidence informed clinical participation to support population needs assessment, service designs, planning and the implementation of person centred, clinically effective, safe care valued by patients, service users and their families.Please ensure you download, save and read the Job Specification & Applicant Inofrmation Document.
