Position SummaryBranch Civil, Inc. is searching for a collaborative and driven Equipment Logistics Supervisor to join our well-established, growing company. The Supervisor is responsible for scheduling equipment moves over 2 states. The Supervisor promotes and develops communication, coordination, and cooperation between Field and Equipment Operations.Duties/Responsibilities

  • Comply with all BCI, OSHA, or other relevant safety rules and regulations.
  • Conduct all business with a professional and respectful attitude.
  • Ensures that all permits and required escorts are secured and provided to drivers in a timely manner.
  • Schedules equipment moves to meet project requirements and notifies parties involved in advance.
  • Schedules lowboy drivers and notifies parties involved in advance.
  • Utilizes Qtanium Connect equipment moves module to schedule moves and dispatch logistics trucking.
  • Transfers equipment in Vista for inventory location updates.
  • Works with operations in project planning to ensure special project needs such as barrier, pipe, etc. are delivered to site as needed.
  • Maintains related data systems (Qtanium Connect, spreadsheets, Viewpoint, etc.)

Duties/Responsibilities Cont.

  • Ensures trucks and drivers are DOT compliant and maintains files.
  • Processes IFTA on-road fuel taxes quarterly and annually.
  • Manages DOT licensing for CMV’s including IRP, HVUT, UCR and any other annual renewals.
  • Ensures proper staffing.
  • Maintains relationships with vendors.
  • Develop and manage positive relationships and a sense of urgency with EO personnel.
  • Understands, communicates, and enforces safety policies, always.
  • Conducts safety seminars.
  • Ensures all accidents involving equipment operations assets and personnel are reported appropriately.
  • Ensures that all on road trucks and trailers are maintained in an orderly, clean, secure, and professional manner.
  • Responsible for training driver personnel upon hiring and assisting Equipment Superintendent to identify needs for continuing education.
  • Effectively motivates employees to achieve desired results

Qualifications

  • Five years heavy grading equipment experience with technical training in related areas OR
  • Associate’s Degree in a related field with five years heavy grading equipment experience OR
  • Four-year college degree with two years heavy grading equipment experience and knowledge of standard business practices and procedures.
  • Practical knowledge of the function, operation, and maintenance of equipment in a construction environment.
  • Good communication skills; both oral and written.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations as they pertain to equipment operations.
