The Power Technique Service Division wants you to join as our new Global Purchasing Manager. In short, you are more than eager to join our team and handle the diverse, challenging purchasing puzzles together.The Power Technique Service purchasing departement involves multiple business partners. Next to managing suppliers, you will partner up with the Product Companies and other Atlas Copco service purchasing organizations.
You will be based in Antwerp, in the Power Technique Service Division. There, you will lead a global team of purchasers. You will report directly to the Vice President Supply Chain.Regular presence in our distribution center in Hoeselt (BE) is a must. You will have team members in Belgium, Spain, Italy, USA, Brazil, India and China. Therefore, regular travel is required and desired.MissionIn this exciting role you will:

  • Develop our global purchasing organization in par with the Power Technique Service Strategy.
  • Steer the regional purchasing team leads and support them in translating our global supply chain strategy in their region.
  • Develop our supplier network and review our purchasing processes to create efficiency and improve our supply chain.
  • Safeguard a reliable supply chain: securing the availability of our spare-parts in each phase of the life cycle of our machines at the right cost.
  • Guide our supplier excellence program with our main suppliers to safeguard: quality, optimized total cost of ownership, short lead times, delivery performance, sustainability and compliance.
  • Follow up our KPI’s to measure the success of our strategy and make changes where needed.
  • Collaborate with logistics to improve the end-to-end supply chain and ensure we have a reliable escalation process with the suppliers.

  • You have 3+ years of experience in people management, for example in a similar business environment.
  • You have an academic degree in engineering or economics; or can rely on an equally relevant work experience
  • Familiarity with these domains or skills could be helpful:
  • Purchasing/Sourcing
  • Technical knowledge
  • Spare parts logistics
  • You have change management skills and you have no trouble prioritizing.
  • You are happy to deep-dive into existing processes to look for efficiency improvements
  • Whenever needed, you are willing to step into an operational issue.
  • Solid knowledge of English
  • You enjoy working in a multicultural and international environment
  • Customer-minded and supportive
