They will be accountable for delivery of global, integrate plan deliverables for the asset in alignment with the global strategy and plan to deliver portfolio value with quality on time, on budget and within scope. They will manage team communication, resolve barriers to success, ensure project information and documentation of key team/asset information and decisions are current in enterprise project management systems. They will provide project management and leadership. The ability to manage project work and stakeholders, and to think with a portfolio-level mentality is critical to ensure decisions are made within the larger context and contributing to the continuous advancement of LRL.Enable Strategy for Assigned Asset(s)
- Asset Strategy Development: Leading the creation of a clear, differentiated asset strategy and profile, ensuring alignment with the overall molecule lifecycle plan and global scope.
- Strategic Optimization: Challenging conventional thinking to develop innovative solutions, incorporating external perspectives to enhance competitiveness. Accountable for ensuring alignment of strategy with the approved molecule scope and lifecycle plan across all geographies. Ensuring the asset strategy aligns with development plans, integrating new technologies and capabilities with functional partners.
- Change Management: Ensure there is a change management process in place to manage the project and reconcile with project commitments made with governance on scope, cost, schedule, and value.
- Influence the Business Unit disease state strategy and commercialization plan.
- Actively lead and support the due diligence efforts for in-license and out-license evaluation as well as the diligence evaluation of internal assets.
Integrated plan development for Assigned Asset(s):
- Global Development Plan: Lead the creation of a global development plan that translates the strategy for the molecule into a tactical cross functional plan with well-defined deliverables and accountabilities across all geographies.
- Communication Plan: Develop and implement a team communication plan to ensure alignment with asset strategy. Provide immediate and accurate communication of key decisions/results that have team, asset, and/or organizational impact. Work with corporate affairs and investor relations to manage communication outside of the company.
- Portfolio and Cost Management: Aligning the development plan with corporate portfolio priorities and manage the integrated project budget, ensuring resources are planned for at least eight quarters ahead and addressing cost variability.
- Risk Management: Own risk management plan for the team. Accountable for full disclosure of risks to management and approved actions to mitigate/eliminate the risks.
- Scientific Data Disclosure (SDD): Accountable for ensuring the team has an appropriate SDD plan in place for the assigned asset(s) and performs gatekeeper responsibilities for the BU.
- Plan/manage governance interactions, frame decisions, and obtain required approvals for the asset plan from BU/corporate governance.

- Deliverable Achievement: Ensuring the team meets or exceeds project deliverables related to scope, cost, schedule, and quality, aligned with the project’s value commitments. Leading collaborative problem-solving to overcome barriers.
- Decision Accountability: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality, timely, data-driven decisions.
- Project Monitoring and Control: Implementing cost, timeline, scope, and risk management processes to monitor and control project performance.
- Functional Accountability: Holding functions accountable for meeting key deliverables in alignment with the project plan and corporate quality standards.

- Project Management Processes: Ensuring PM processes, tools and techniques are managed and leveraged for the assigned asset(s) to deliver on time, on budget, and on scope.
- Continuous Improvement: Actively engaging in shared learning, process improvement. Incorporating best practices into processes, tools, and training to enable better portfolio delivery performance.
- Community Engagement and Mentorship: Participating in the COO community, mentoring peers, collaborating across phases, partnering with Program Team Leaders in similar disease states, and providing late-phase mentoring. Mentoring and coaching others in developing project management skills and knowledge in drug development and discovery.
People:
- Coaching and Mentorship: Actively coaching and mentoring team members and others outside the team to support their development.
- Team Collaboration: Creating an environment of collaboration, inclusion, and mutual respect, motivating the team to overcome challenges and achieve objectives.
- Relationship Management: Managing relationships with external partners and vendors.
- Team Performance: Building a high-performing team, using feedback from the Voice of the Customer/Team Health Survey to identify improvement areas, and developing Organizational Change Management (OCM) plans to address them.
- Supervision and Development: When required, directly supervising individuals, managing their performance and development. May involve reducing direct involvement in plan development and results delivery, as these responsibilities would be delegated to the supervised staff.

Project Management Expertise:
- Demonstrated experience with project management tools and processes for scope, schedule, cost, communications, and risk management.
- Demonstrated experience performing project leadership and management for an integrated cross-functional project across cultures and geographies.
Drug Development Expertise:
- 10+ years of work experience in the pharmaceutical industry in drug development and commercialization.
- Experience on a cross functional drug discovery and development team across phases of development.
- Strong scientific background with demonstrated learning agility across drug development subject matter.
- Expected to be a senior drug developer talent on the asset team to holistically evaluate options and make decisions.
Education Requirements:
- Four-year degree, preferably in a health-related, scientific, or engineering field.
Additional Preferences:
- Advanced graduate degree (PhD, MPH, PharmD, etc.) in a health-related, scientific, or engineering field
- Advanced graduate degree in business (MBA)
- Experience or knowledge of drug development processes in specific therapeutic area(s)
- Demonstrated supervisory experience in managing talent, prioritizing work, and coaching
- Project management certifications and/or advanced degrees
