eCommerce Project Manager (Shopify) – Shopify Agency – RemoteDay rate: £200 – £400Duration: 6 monthsStart: ASAPMy client is looking for a Senior Project Manager to be embedded with one of their new clients. You will successfully initiate, plan, execute, control and deliver projects in line with project requirements of timeline, scope, budget and quality. The Senior Project Manager leads an internal cross-function team and manages the efforts of key stakeholders, clients and third parties to achieve milestone completion and manage expectations. The Senior Project Manager role is comparable to the Project Manager role with regard to responsibilities but will likely have a portfolio of projects to manage with increased scope, complexity and/or value which requires greater depth of experience and capabilities as well as less hand-on guidance from the Delivery Director.Key Responsibilities and Outcomes
- Develop strong relationships and managing the ongoing contact relationship with the client and all stakeholders, ensuring the project is delivered to their satisfaction and to the highest standards
- Develop project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Capture and understand client’s business needs and translate them into workable solutions. Ensuring client buy-in and approval to minimise risks of misinterpretation
- Create and manage business and functional requirements
- Prepare a detailed project plan to schedule realistic key project milestones and activities and communicate with all relevant stakeholders
- Ownership for project progress, detailed knowledge of the project status and confidence to give a clear position on project status, issues and risks to all stakeholders alongside regular reports.
- Coordinate and motivate the project team, ensuring that everyone is working towards the same goal
- Ensure adherence to timelines by holding contributors to account
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and management of issues and taking corrective action to minimise impact
- Manage project finances, tracking hours verses spend and aggregating monthly invoices for the client.
- Manage changes to the project scope, schedule, or budget through a formal process ensuring that any modifications are controlled, costed, understood by the client, and do not negatively impact the project’s success.
- Create, maintain and organise comprehensive project documentation.
- On conclusion of a project, conduct a detailed after-action review (AAR) to identify opportunities to improve project processes and outcomes, identifying areas for improvement and providing insights and learnings to the Delivery Director for the benefit of future projects.
- Work in accordance with our approach to delivery and ways of working to ensure a reliably consistent, high-quality approach to the Project Delivery Life-Cycle (PDLC) and documentation.
- Stay updated with the latest Shopify and e-commerce trends in order to improve service offerings
- Be an active member of the Delivery Team, contributing to the wider Project Management knowledge hub and learning new insights from colleagues.
- Involvement in pitching process as needed.

Experience and Qualifications
- Essential: Substantial project management experience, preferably within eCommerce projects
- Essential: Experience of working in a formal project environment using a variety of different methodologies (E.G Waterfall, Prince 2, Agile SCRUM)
- Preferred: Programme management methodology qualification
- Solid understanding of eCommerce business practices
- Solid technical background, with a good understanding of software development practices and of the development lifecycle
