BACKGROUND:
Windle International Somalia (WISOM) is an International Non-Governmental organization with oversight support and coordination by the regional office in Nairobi. WISOM was founded with the belief that good education was essential if Africa was to meet the challenges it faced. Windle International Somalia implements Education, Training, and Integrated programs including WASH, Climate Adaptation, and Peace Building. WISOM is seeking a suitable candidate to fill the position of Finance Assistant.
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY.
- Financial Reporting and Statements Assisting in the preparation and distribution of financial reports, statements, and other relevant documents. This could include monthly reports, income statements, balance sheets, and other financial summaries for internal or external use.
- Processing Financial Transactions: Managing and processing a variety of financial transactions, such as invoices, payments, and receipts. This involves ensuring that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Compliance and Audit Support: Ensuring that all financial activities comply with organization policies, standards, and legal regulations.
- Finance Assistants may also help prepare documents and data for internal or external audits.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
