Graduate R&D Engineer – Medical Device Start-up (Galway)We are partnering with an innovative start-up in the medical device industry, focusing on patient-centred solutions for palliative care. This is an exciting opportunity for a Graduate R&D Engineer to join a growing team in Galway and contribute to developing life-changing technologies that enhance the quality of life for patients. • Support product design and development, from concept to commercialisation.
• Prototype development and conducting feasibility studies.
• Develop and execute test methods, design validation, and verification activities.
• Create and maintain technical documentation to meet regulatory standards.
• Collaborate on material selection and process optimisation to achieve optimal product performance.
• Analyse and report data, providing insights for project decisions.
• Contribute to maintaining a functional and safe lab environment.
• Ensure design control processes are followed and improved where necessary.

Key Requirements:

• Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency with CAD software (Solidworks) and MS Office suite.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and a strong initiative.
• Strong communication skills, with experience in report writing and documentation.
