Overview:Machine OperatorLir Chocolates, Navan, County Meath, IrelandPosition type: Full time, PermanentHours: 40Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday, 06:00 – 14:30Pay range: €14.00Breaks: x1 30 minutes PAID, x1 30 minutes unpaid. Responsibilities:
- Responsibility to report any issues which may present a health and safety risk
- Responsibility to ensure that all team members follow all health & safety procedures correctly and also lead by example
- Responsible and accountable for delivery of requirements set out in this document
- Ensuring that planning for next day’s products e.g. people, temperas, line set up, packing specs and other relevant requirements
- Work area must be audit ready at all times
- Ensure compliance with Quality Assurance system and procedures
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and housekeeping standards
- Deliver daily production targets in accordance with production plan
- Deliver Key Performance Indicators to target
- Analyse previous days performance, rejects and downtime
- Organise and lead people on daily basis
- Address non compliances in any of the above and where necessary raise any issues with your manager
- All paperwork to be complete as required and returned for filing at end of each shift
- Organise the people on the line and show leadership
- Train or coordinate the training for people
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, managers and other people in the chocolate room
Qualifications:
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Ability to work on own initiative
- Ability to work effectively with others
- Proactive and organized
- Competent with numbers and basic calculations
- Machinery experience (essential)
