In this role, you will work closely with operations teams to ensure the achievement of required quality, safety, and environmental standards. You will contribute towards meeting targets, objectives, legislative requirements, franchise standards, and company standards through effective control, operation, and maintenance of plant and processes.This role is FTC for 12 monthsKey Responsibilities
- Project Management: Collaborate with Marketing, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to enable flawless project delivery. Provide technical expertise on packaging and liquid development projects from concept stage, ensuring compliance with Britvic’s technical processes and legal requirements.
- Management Systems, Audit & Governance: Implement, maintain, and ensure compliance with Britvic’s quality, food safety, health & safety, and environmental policies, standards, and legal requirements. Coordinate external and internal audit programs, maintain corrective action logs, and identify improvement opportunities.
- Business Support & Data Analysis: Maintain laboratory facilities, coordinate syrup trials and new formulations, assess risk and process influence on quality and food safety, validate and verify process and quality control equipment, support the consumer/customer complaints process, and implement data tracking and trending systems.
- People Development and Training: Develop effective working relationships within the QSE team and wider teams, provide coaching and training to enable employees to deliver their safety, environmental, quality, and food safety roles competently.
Requirements
- In-depth knowledge and experience in quality, food safety, microbiology, safety, or environmental roles, preferably in an FMCG environment with a good understanding of production processes and packaging.
- Operations and project management experience, implementation of QSE processes and standards, and knowledge of ISO/OHSAS/FSSC/Good Practice Standards.
- Analytical quality skills related to soft drinks, knowledge of relevant food and water legislation, and microbiological issues.
- Effective communication with external agencies, trading standards, and auditing bodies, incident investigation through continuous improvement tools, and experience in continuous improvement programs related to QSE.
- Proven communication skills with the ability to adapt styles to differing individual needs, well-developed interpersonal skills, relationship building, facilitation, and written/verbal communication.
QualificationsThird-level education in food science, manufacturing, quality or related disciplineFood Safety CertificationInternal auditor qualificationHACCP qualificationCompetency in health safety and environment requirements for manufacturingExcellent computer skills particularly advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
