About the roleBalfour Beatty is proud to be at the forefront of the Net Zero Teesside initiative, a pioneering project aimed at transforming Teesside into a carbon-neutral community by 2030. With the Net Zero Teesside Power (NZT Power) project, we are setting the stage for the UK’s first decarbonized industrial cluster. As we embark on this exciting journey, we are looking for a dynamic and experienced Senior Works Manager to join our team.What you’ll be doingAs a Senior Works Manager, you will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining a strong culture of zero harm and “right first time” across all site operations. You will ensure that all operatives are fully inducted, briefed on the company’s management systems, and competent to perform their duties safely.Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct periodic Safety & Environmental Tours as required.
- Ensure adequate resource allocation within the Works Section, with appropriate skill levels.
- Perform constructive analysis of fully resourced programmes.
- Support engineering teams in the planning stages of project programmes.
- Oversee the budget for directly employed labour and plant, and report on actual resource levels.
- Ensure the correct allocation of plant and labour to project tasks, in alignment with the Teesside project Health & Safety Plan.
Who we’re looking forWhat We’re Looking For:
- Proven experience at General Foreman level.
- Strong understanding of engineering principles.
- Experience with a variety of construction techniques and best practices.
- UK driving licence and valid CSCS card.
- Health & Safety and Environmental management training.
- Site Manager Safety Training Scheme (SMSTS) qualification.
