Duties/ResponsibilitiesEquine Herd: Feed/water and check horses on pasture, in paddocks, and in barn twice daily, as directed by equine farm manager. Inspect horses for illness/lameness. Check fence lines and stall for any breakage or needed repair. Clean and bed stalls. Administer medications to horses as needed.

Bovine Herd: Feed/water cattle monthly. Count animals in each lot/pasture. Inspect cattle for illness/lameness. Check fence lines. During calving season check for dystocia.

Minimum Qualifications
Position Summary
This position will assist with the Large Animal research farm.
Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position
Experience handling horses is preferred.
Experience working on a farm.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies Work well with others.
Physical DemandsDriving as needed to perform job duties.
Able to walk, stand or sit for long periods of time.
Able to lift 30lbs.
Able to work outdoors.
