Job Responsibilities
1. Raising and caring of Poults from placement until move
2. Includes responsibilities as general repairs and maintenance
3. Daily and weekly preparation and scheduling
4. Implementation and execution of daily chores
5. Ability to follow sanitation policies as prescribed by company directives
6. Will be held responsible for flock performance
7. Assist in the supervision of employees sent to the farm
8. Ability to work scheduled weekends or holidays
9. Also will need to work at other farms at times
Minimum Qualifications
- Cannot own or raise any type of fowl (i.e. turkeys, chickens, geese, pheasants, parakeets, etc.)
- Ability to meet all sanitation requirements
- Able to work scheduled weekends or holidays
- Possess a valid driver’s license with a good driving record
- Basic mechanical skills
- No performance work actions in the last 6 months
- No attendance work actions in the last 6 months
- Ability to work in a dusty environment with ammonia present in all weather conditions while using approved respiratory protection
- Facial hair must not compromise respirator face to mask seal (No beards)
- PHYSICAL: Able to twist, stoop, bend, squat, lift, carry & reach while handling turkeys, feed, litter, equipment in a weight range of <10 pounds to >50 pounds from occasionally to a frequent basis
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous turkey experience and/or a farm background (2 years)
- Possess good communications and supervisory skills based on experience or training
