About the job

As our Regional Head of Support Services, you will lead and develop our regional teams in HR, Finance, IT and Supply Chain. Your main duties and responsibilities will be:

  • Develop and implement regional strategies ensuring alignment with organizational goals and monitoring outcomes.
  • Coordinate the implementation and use of DRC’s global ERP system (Microsoft Dynamics), policies, and tools across the region.
  • Facilitate annual planning, reviews, and liaise with HQ for global policy alignment.
  • Establish and monitor regional budgets and oversee country financial performance.
  • Ensure compliance and risk management through audits, training, and implementing mitigation strategies.
  • Oversee HR initiatives including onboarding, succession planning, and compliance with global policies.
  • Provide technical support and capacity building for finance and supply chain operations in country offices.
  • Oversee IT solutions, strategy, and end-user support across the region.
  • Support donor relations and ensure operational capacity for emergency response.

About you

We are looking for a dynamic and experienced leader with a strong background in managing support functions across diverse regions. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker who excels in fostering collaboration and driving results. With excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to accountability, you’ll thrive in leading and inspiring multicultural teams.

Moreover, we also expect the following:

Required

  • At least 4 years’ experience in relevant field
  • At least 3 years’ experience in a senior leadership role
  • Proven operational management experience and capability, including in conflict areas
  • Proven significant financial, information and systems management experience
  • Understanding and experience of institutional fundraising
  • Experience working in an ERP system, including supply chain, finance and HR systems

Desirable

  • French language skills an advantage
  • Experience in a similar role in an international NGO

Work location: Nairobi, Kenya.

Start date: February 2025

Salary and conditions will be in accordance with Danish Refugee Council’s Terms of Employment for employees on national or expatriate contracts depending on your residence status in Kenya; please refer to our website for more details.
