Job Description:
Data center Technician
Apex Systems is a global IT services provider, and our staffing practice has an opening for a Data center Technician with knowledge in database and system on site support, general IT and deployment support, and physical site service support to place at our client, a Big Five Tech Giant. We have personally qualified the requirement with the hiring manager.
Client: Big Five Tech Giant, a multinational technology corporation
Terms: 6-month contract, possible extension
Location: Toronto, On Site

Summary:
The main function of a Data Centre Technician is to provide database support on a variety of hardware and software platforms and peripherals.
Job Responsibilities:

- Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance
- Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program
- Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs
- Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports
- ?
Qualifications:
?
- Associates degree in computer programming or equivalent training required
- 2-4 years experience required
- Verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Basic ability to work independently and manage one’s time
Interview Process: 1 interview round
