Job Summary
The Business Analyst will provide data analysis and insight for Vertiv’s 3-Phase Medium UPS business through utilization of sales and market intelligence tools. The role will provide direct input to the VP of Medium UPS and the product management team by maintaining current business and market metrics and developing effective methods to communicate trends and changes in the market and the business. A potential candidate should be inquisitive and driven to understand the various activities impacting performance. This role will be reporting to the VP, Medium UPS and will have direct interaction with Product Mangers on the Medium UPS team as well as regional sales, sales operations, and business finance functions.
Responsibilities:
* Collect and analyze key business metrics (Sales, Profit, Orders, Pipeline, Price, Costs…)
* Elaborate business forecasts and long-term plan basing on market trends and insight from the regional offering teams.
* Develop and maintain informative dashboards utilizing the PowerBI tool and related sales, market, and financial datasets.
* Provide weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports that track key performance indicators for the Medium UPS business against quarterly and annual targets. Include data interpretation and guidance feedback.
* Work with offering and finance leads in different regions to track regional performance against global goals. Provide insight and guidance to Vice President on trends or anomalies.
* Analyze Market research to get information about market trends, growth rates and market shares.
* Track Opex and Capex costs, prepare budget and forecasts basing on information coming from offering and engineering teams.
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s Degree in business analytics or related discipline
* 3 – 5 years relevant experience with product management or business analytics responsibilities
* Professional experience with product manufacturing and/or data center industry is a plus.
* Experience with data analysis and ability to effectively communicate findings while tailoring to variety of different audiences is required.
* Demonstrated competence in visual and verbal communication, problem solving, & project management.
* Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet, and other business applications
* Experience with Microsoft PowerBI (please detail as user or developer)
