Description

Robert Half is looking for an Accountant to join a team in the Allentown area. The accountant is responsible for managing the daily accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role supervises the accounting team, oversees key processes, and provides financial insights to support decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review financial statements and reports.

• Handle AP and AR

• Oversee general ledger activities and month-end close processes.

• Supervise and support accounting staff.

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations.

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and internal controls.

• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and audit preparation.

• Identify opportunities for process improvement.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.

• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.

• Experience with e-billing systems and legal billing processes is highly desirable.

• Strong understanding of accounting principles and regulations.

• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.

• High level of integrity and attention to detail.
