Accountant in Boerne, Texas

Description We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in Boerne, Texas. This role is within the engineering industry and will entail supporting all accounting areas in the creation of accurate and timely financial information and records.

Responsibilities:

• Establish new clients, vendors, and projects in our accounting system.

• Update and manage project budgets, ensuring task budgets align with phase budgets.

• Prepare and submit monthly client invoicing promptly and adjust project information as necessary.

• Monitor and manage accounts receivables, including rectifying outstanding balances over 60 days and performing month-end A/R reconciliation.

• Prepare general ledger account reconciliations as assigned, such as depreciation, prepaid expenses, and overhead allocations.

• Assist in the preparation of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other monthly reports.

• Document and maintain accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.

• Provide backup to Accounts Payable as needed, ensuring accuracy of expense reports and reconciling credit card statements.

• Maintain financial security by following internal controls.

• Seek out and recommend process improvements.

• Utilize accounting software systems, ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning, and Microsoft Excel to complete tasks efficiently. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Familiarity with ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to perform all Accounting Functions

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Knowledge of Auditing procedures

• Understanding of Balance Sheet Account

• Proficiency in General Ledger management

• Experience with Account Reconciliation

• Ability to perform Balance Sheet Reconciliation

• Experience with Bank Reconciliations

• Proficiency in Budgeting

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
