Job Title: Accountant

Hourly Rate: $25.00/hour (D.O.E)

Schedule: 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM, Monday to Friday (Occasional extended hours or weekends required)

Job Description:

Adecco is currently helping a local client seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accountant to join there team in Casper, WY . This role will involve a wide range of accounting duties, including maintaining financial records, preparing reports, ensuring data accuracy, and supporting financial decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting software, excellent communication skills, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain Financial Records: Accurately enter data into accounting systems, including general ledger entries, journal entries, and transactional accounting entries.

  • Account Reconciliations: Perform regular account reconciliations to ensure the accuracy of financial records.

  • Invoice & Financial Document Review: Review and process invoices, financial statements, and various professional documents to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  • Data Validation: Validate data against system reports, ensuring consistency and resolving discrepancies when necessary.

  • Collaborate with Operations: Work closely with the operations team to resolve any accounting-related issues or discrepancies.

  • Month-End, Quarter-End & Year-End Close: Participate in the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring that all relevant data is captured in the appropriate time period.

  • Mail & Scanning: Open and scan mail, ensuring documents are properly filed and entered into the accounting system as needed.

  • Report Preparation: Assist in preparing financial reports, including balance sheets and profit & loss statements, for management review.

  • Email Correspondence: Manage professional communication via email, ensuring timely responses and proper documentation of any requests or inquiries.

  • Problem-Solving: Identify and resolve issues related to financial data, working with other teams to address discrepancies or inefficiencies.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field, or equivalent work experience

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel)

  • Experience with Oracle accounting software is preferred

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices

  • Proficient in accounting software and financial reporting tools

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and work independently

  • Strong communication skills and ability to interact with various departments

  • Ability to read and interpret professional documents, such as invoices and financial statements

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

  • Flexibility to occasionally work beyond regular business hours, including weekends, when necessary

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with Oracle accounting software

  • Knowledge of tax regulations and filing procedures

  • Prior experience in an accounting role

Pay Details: $25.00 per hour
