Accountant in Covington, Louisiana

Description We are offering a contract for a permanent position as an Accountant in Covington, Louisiana, United States. In this role, you will manage various accounting functions, maintain accurate records, and provide financial information by utilizing your knowledge in Accounting Software Systems, ADP – Financial Services, and ERP.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems for processing and recording transactions

• Oversee the accounts payable and receivable functions

• Conduct auditing tasks to ensure financial compliance and integrity

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts on a regular basis

• Apply GAAP accounting principles in the preparation of financial reports

• Handle account reconciliation tasks and rectify discrepancies

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial reporting

• Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger

• Work with the Concur system for expense management

• Assist in the preparation of Cl Programming related tasks. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Comprehensive knowledge of Accounting Functions

• Familiarity with Accounts Payable (AP) processes

• Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) management

• Proficiency in performing Auditing tasks

• Ability to manage Balance Sheet Account

• Understanding of GAAP Accounting principles

• Experience in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation

• Ability to perform Account Reconciliation

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

• Experience with creating and managing Journal Entries

• Ability to handle and manage General Ledger
