Accountant in Eagan, Minnesota

Description We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Eagan, Minnesota. In this role, you will be handling a variety of accounting tasks, ranging from daily banking reports to monthly financial statements.

Responsibilities:

• Apply GAAP principles to accounting tasks

• Manage job costs and inventory control

• Carry out account reconciliation tasks

• Generate daily banking and cash reports

• Prepare monthly journal entries

• Oversee inventory reconciliation

• Generate monthly job costing reports

• Prepare and distribute monthly financial reports

• Prepare monthly A/P, A/R, income and balance statements

• Perform additional responsibilities as necessary

• Handle full cycle accounting tasks

• Manage sales tax related tasks

• Oversee accounting tasks related to construction projects Requirements • Possess a minimum of 1 year experience in an accounting role

• Proficient in full cycle accounting

• Experience in handling sales tax related tasks

• Familiarity with accounting for construction projects

• Excellent analytical and numerical skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Solid understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
