Accountant in Eastlake, Ohio

• Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. This role involves managing financial operations, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support business decisions.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Conduct financial analysis and provide insights to support decision-making.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable functions.
  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations and assist with tax planning and reporting.
  • Coordinate and liaise with external auditors during audits.
  • Develop and implement accounting policies and procedures.
  • Support junior accounting staff and provide guidance as needed.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Perform ad-hoc financial analysis and reporting as required.

  Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle) and advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
