Accountant in Jacksonville Beach, Florida

Description

We are in search of an Accountant to join our team in Jacksonville Beach, Florida. This part-time role involves various accounting functions, including reconciliation, report generation, and entry preparation. The successful candidate will also assist with the processing of accounts payable invoices. This role offers a contract employment opportunity.

Responsibilities:

• Carry out reconciliation tasks, including daily cash reconciliation using AS400

• Generate and analyze reports from utility billing

• Prepare entries based on report findings

• Maintain a summary spreadsheet in Excel for accounting purposes

• Assist with the processing of accounts payable (AP) invoices

• Use accounting software systems and ERP solutions for efficient data entry

• Keep track of accounts receivable (AR) and perform auditing tasks when necessary

• Use Great Plains (GPAC) for various accounting functions

• Carry out account reconciliation and cash reconciliations

• Use Tyler Technologies Munis and other tools for efficient data management and entry.

Requirements • At least one year of experience in an accounting role

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP – Financial Services

• Understanding of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions

• Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC)

• Demonstrated experience in Accounting Functions

• Knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience in Auditing and Budget Processes

• Skillful in Account Reconciliation and Cash Reconciliations

• Proficiency in Data Entry

• Experience with AS400 and Tyler Technologies Munis is preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• High level of accuracy and attention to detail

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred

• Must be legally authorized to work in the specified location.
