Job Description

This Accountant will work alongside the VP of Finance to oversee the accounting operations of the company. They will be responsible for the production of financial reports, the maintenance of accounting records, and the preparation of monthly financial statements. They will manage both accounts payable and accounts receivable, and maintain financials within Excel Spreadsheets and Sage 500.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the accounting operations of the company.

  • Produce financial reports and maintain accounting records.

  • Prepare monthly financial statements.

  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.

  • Maintain financial data within Excel Spreadsheets and Sage 500.

  • Project cash earnings and cash flow.

  • Handle state and federal tax matters.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

  • 3+ years of bookkeeping experience

  • Basic Excel experience (spreadsheets)

  • Experience with debit and credit transactions

  • Projects for cash earnings and cash flow

  • Experience with Sage 500

  • Cost accounting experience

  • State and federal tax knowledge

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Public Accounting/CPA experience

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 – $36.06
