Accountant in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania

Description

We are offering a long-term contract opportunity for an Accountant position within the education sector and is based in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania. The role involves meticulous record-keeping, processing of customer applications, and customer service management.

Responsibilities:

• Accurately and efficiently process customer credit applications

• Maintain precise customer credit records

• Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate actions when necessary

• Handle accounts payable including expense reimbursements, check requests, and refunds

• Reconcile bank accounts for subsidiary companies regularly

• Analyze Schwab, Butterfield, and Performa investment statements and align them with the General Ledger

• Manage accounting functions in subsidiary companies

• Process invoice billing and cash receipts for multiple entities

• Maintain ACH information for staff members for expense report reimbursements

• Handle credit card reconciliation and manage company credit card statements

• Utilize QuickBooks and Quickbooks Online for various accounting tasks.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field

• Proficiency in accounting software, particularly QuickBooks and QuickBooks Online

• In-depth understanding of Accounting Functions

• Strong experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Expertise in Credit Card Reconciliation, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all transactions

• Excellent numerical skills and attention to detail

• Strong organizational and time-management skills

• Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and exercising discretion.
