Accountant

A rapidly growing construction company in Spokane that does a lot of work with public entities is looking for the next Accountant/Bookkeeper superstar.  If you are a team -oriented accountant that’s flexible and has a can do attitude we encourage you to apply now if you meet the requirements listed below.

Compensation for the Accountant

• $30 -$40 per hour
• Full Time Monday — Friday

Responsibilities of the Accountant

• Month end processes, accruals, work in progress reports, sales tax, payroll taxes; journal entries, general ledger reconciliations and financial reporting
• Oversees all payroll functions, certified payroll and reporting of contracts.
• Prepares quarterly and annual tax reporting for multi-state payroll
• Assists with monthly project progress billing

• Other accounting duties and oversight as needed

   

Requirements of the Accountant

• BA or AA in Accounting with at least 5 years of experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or Accountant
• Accounting/Bookkeeping
• All aspects of accounting for a small business -AR, AP, PR, GL, JE, FS
• QuickBooks expert. All aspects of QuickBooks -Desktop or Online
• Construction accounting with WIP and job costing
• Cash Flow report
• Multi State payroll and payroll tax and sales tax
• Certified payroll knowledge and Prevailing wage reporting
• Prefer Knowledge of construction industry

• Attention to detail & highly organized
