Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accountant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. This role is positioned within the education industry and will require the successful candidate to work closely with the senior accounting team. The candidate will be responsible for handling Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP), reconciling credit card statements, and working on payroll systems.

Responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) processing

• Handle receipts, applications, printing checks, and creating customer statements

• Collaborate with the senior accountant for month-end procedures

• Reconcile credit card statements to ensure accuracy

• Work closely with the senior accountant and HR consultant to manage payroll systems

• Handle the transition from Acumen Book to NetSuite software, ensuring a smooth transition

• Work with ADP for payroll implementation, ensuring accurate and efficient payroll processing

• Utilize skills in Accounting Software Systems, ADP – Financial Services, Accounting Functions, Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Auditing, Balance Sheet Account, Full Cycle Payroll, Accounting Control.

Requirements • Familiarity with accounting software systems is required.

• Experience with ADP – Financial Services is beneficial.

• Proficiency in performing various accounting functions is necessary.

• Knowledge of accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) is essential.

• Auditing skills are highly desirable.

• Familiarity with balance sheet account management is needed.

• Experience with full cycle payroll is a plus.

• Understanding of accounting control procedures is crucial.
