Your responsibilities:
Maintain proper asset and maintain asset valuation methods, consistent with BSHG guidelines.

  • Fixed Assets Accounting Duties:
    • Create Assets Master Record and Asset Numbers for approved capital purchases.
    • Maintain orderly records of all fixed assets for each of the New Bern factories.
    • Verify invoices and collect approvals.
    • Process asset payables invoices after collecting required approvals.
    • Classify assets to proper asset group.
    • Maintain book and tax depreciation master data in SAP.
    • Run monthly depreciation calculations in SAP.
    • Monitor for correctness.
    • Perform monthly asset roll forward reconciliation including depreciation expense validation.
    • Organize and execute annual fixed assets inventory.
    • Prepare Annual Property Tax Filing package.
    • Maintain and prepare lease commitment schedule.
  • Investment Planning and Reporting Duties:
    • Verify and maintain budget availability for Capital Asset Requisitions.
    • Maintain investment plan and forecast tracking reports for factory managers.
    • Perform investment reporting for Controlling and Product Divisions.
    • Support investment planning process including depreciation forecast/simulation.
  • General Accounting Duties:
    • Assist in the preparation of Annual Income Tax Package.
    • Assist in preparation of External Audit PBC Schedules.
    • Provide backup for functions performed by the Financial Accountant.
    • Assist in Cash Flow Analysis and Forecast.
    • Support inventory cycle count program and if needed support physical inventory
    • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Your profile

  • High-School Diploma – Required
  • Bachelor’s degree (Accounting/Finance) – Preferred
  • 3-5 Years of Experience (Accounting) – Required
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organizational skills required.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality.
  • PC, Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel.
  • SAP knowledge an advantage.
  • 10-key calculator by touch required.
  • Cost accounting in manufacturing environment
  • Inventory accounting
  • Travel Percentage – 10%
