We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to join our finance team for a 4-6 month temporary role, covering a maternity leave. This position is essential for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting for our pet food manufacturing operations. You’ll be responsible for preparing journal entries, validating balance sheet reconciliations, and managing capital expense accounting and depreciation entries.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and accruals

• Validate and reconcile balance sheets

• Manage capital expense accounting and depreciation entries

• Assist with timely period closing for multiple factories

• Collaborate closely with the VCO Accounting Manager and business partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

• Proven accounting experience (journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, capital expense)

• Solid Excel skills; experience with accounting software (ERP) preferred

• Familiarity with Power BI is a plus
