Description:
This role will primarily be responsible for General Ledger accounting, but will report to the Cost Accounting Manager and will be trained on the basics of cost accounting. There is a lot of room for advancement within this accounting department, and the individual will have a choice between several career paths. Prior cost accounting knowledge is not required, but candidate must have a strong foundation in GL accounting (Journal entries, reconciliations)
Scope of Responsibility:
Reconciliation of 30-45 distribution warehouses
General ledger and Journal Entries
Consolidation of financial statements and reporting
Month End close
Lease Deprecation Reporting
Depreciation Expense
Exchange entries
Light account reconciliations
Ad-hoc reporting
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
2-4 years of prior accounting experience
Ability to function efficiently while meeting deadlines
Strong interpersonal communication skills
Strong ability with Microsoft Excel
SAP experience is a plus
Inventory or cost accounting experience is a plus
