Accountant in Plano, Texas

Description

We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant. Based in Plano, Texas, the successful candidate will perform an array of duties associated with maintaining financial records and performing general ledger functions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct a variety of accounting functions, such as cost and inventory accounting, as well as revenue recognition.

• Prepare and scrutinize financial statements or accounting records to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to reporting and procedural standards.

• Assist in the preparation for month-end and year-end close.

• Aid other team members in understanding and generating appropriate accounting information as required.

• Identify and analyze any financial discrepancies and suggest effective solutions.

• Produce financial reports as required by monitoring and analyzing financial accounting data.

• Collaborate with the accounting team to ensure assigned accounting tasks are completed within set deadlines.

• Maintain a precise and current filing system.

• Execute general ledger functions necessary for period close, including journal entries and reconciliations for various accounts.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems is expected.

• Familiarity with ADP – Financial Services is required.

• Knowledge of CL Programming is a necessity.

• Prior experience with Concur is a plus.

• Must have a good understanding of ERP – Enterprise Resource Planning.

• Capable of carrying out various Accounting Functions.

• Experience in managing Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) is essential.

• Auditing skills are needed.

• Ability to maintain and manage Balance Sheet Account is crucial.
