Accountant in San Jose, California

Description We are offering a short-term contract employment opportunity for an Accountant in SAN JOSE, California. The role is within the financial industry and the workplace is a fast-paced and dynamic environment. The Accountant will be primarily tasked with managing ledgers, focusing on journal entries, and utilizing Yardi software.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize Yardi software to prepare and record journal entries

• Review financial documents and reports to identify and rectify any inaccuracies

• Provide timely and accurate recording, reporting, and analysis of financial information

• Ensure adherence to accounting policies and regulatory requirements

• Collaborate with other finance team members to resolve accounting discrepancies

• Streamline and improve the accounting process for efficiency

• Assist in maintaining accurate customer credit records

• Process customer credit applications with precision and efficiency

• Monitor customer accounts and take necessary action based on account status. Requirements • Must hold a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) qualification

• Proficiency in Yardi Software is required

• Demonstrable experience in handling Journal Entries

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field is necessary

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an accounting role

• Excellent knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrable attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
