Accountant in Shelton, Washington

In this role, you’ll support our Accounting and Finance teams by performing key tasks such as account analysis, month-end closing activities, and generating accurate financial reports. You’ll also develop valuable skills like data management, variance analysis, and general ledger reconciliation, all within a supportive workplace focused on your growth. • Create and review spreadsheet applications, prepare financial data for system input, generate reports, and perform calculations.
• Assist with the month-end closing process.
• Help audit and maintain inventory levels for retail, operating supplies, and food & beverage items.
• Support the annual financial statement audit by preparing necessary documentation.
• Manage company credit card transactions, including recording and payments.
• Reconcile assigned general ledger accounts and prepare adjusting journal entries as needed.
• Review and post accounts payable batches.
• Track prepaid expenses and ensure accurate period allocation.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance and 1 year of general ledger accounting experience,
  OR
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or Finance.
