Accountant in Tallahassee, Florida

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for an Accountant in Tallahassee, Florida. The job function revolves around managing various accounting tasks, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and managing Accounting Software Systems. This role also requires proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites and Microsoft Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and taxes

• Use Accounting Software Systems to keep track of financial transactions and report on financial status

• Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings

• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable

• Ensure timely bank payments

• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements

• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity

• Audit financial transactions and documents

• Comply with financial policies and regulations

• Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and Microsoft Office Suites for documentation and reporting. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) preferred

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to analyze financial data

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively

• Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws regarding business operations and accounting practices.
