Accountant in Ventura, California

Description We are looking for a skilled Accountant to join our team in Ventura, California. The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounting tasks including full cycle accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, and payroll processing. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and is well-suited for someone with excellent analytical skills and a comprehensive understanding of the accounting industry.

Responsibilities:

• Undertake full cycle accounting for various companies

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions

• Prepare and process invoices for company services

• Perform regular account reconciliation tasks

• Record financial transactions using journal entries

• Handle bank deposits and perform bank reconciliations

• Process and print checks and run reports for Farm Labor Contractor Payroll(s)

• Perform payroll tax deposits and invoicing tasks

• Utilize accounting software such as Sage Intacct for financial management

• Use Excel formulas for data manipulation and analysis

• Provide backup support for the Payroll Specialist Requirements • Proficiency with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Experience with Sage Intacct software

• Familiarity with payroll processes and systems

• Proficient in using Excel Formulas

• Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation

• Experience in preparing and posting Journal Entries

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Excellent communication and organizational skills

• Proven ability to meet deadlines

• Professional certification (e.g., CPA) is a plus

• Knowledge of current financial regulations

• Proven experience as an Accountant with a solid understanding of accounting principles

• Confidentiality, integrity, and professional ethics

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
