Accountant in West Chester, Ohio

Description

Robert Half is seeking a diligent and motivated Accountant on a contract-to-hire basis with a company in West Chester, OH.

As an Accountant, you will primarily be responsible for managing accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) processes. The ideal candidate will have a strong educational background in accounting, excellent attention to detail, and a willingness to learn and grow within our organization.

Responsibilities:

• Process accounts payable invoices accurately and in a timely manner.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies.

• Prepare and issue payments to vendors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to payment terms.

• Assist with accounts receivable duties, including invoicing customers and recording payments received.

• Follow up on past due accounts and communicate with customers regarding outstanding balances.

• Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.

• Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.

• Collaborate with other team members to support various accounting and finance projects as needed.

  Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.

• Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.

• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.

• Eagerness to learn.

• Previous internship or work experience in accounting or finance is a plus.
