Job Description

BAE Systems is seeking an Accountant to join its organization.

Responsibilities:

• Learn and utilizes professional accounting concepts in the performance of accounting duties in accordance with well-established policies and procedures

• Record, classify, examine, and analyze data and records of accounting transactions to ensure accurate and complete financial information

• Perform basic accounting tasks in general or specialized functions such as Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Cost Accounting, General Accounting, Fixed Asset Accounting, and Payroll Accounting

• Handle a variety of accounting assignments including the preparation, analysis, review, verification, and reconciliation of various records financial reports and statements

• Prepare and maintain accurate, detailed financial records

• Research industry, business, professional, government, and company standards to provide relevant information in order to resolve accounting issues

• Acquire and maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant discipline(s), industry practices, trends, and applications

• Maintain a safe work environment and ensures compliance with safety objectives and policies

• Share responsibility of self-development with immediate supervisor

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• High School Diploma

• MS Office Suite Intermediate Skills

• Ability to analyze financial information and make suggestions regarding its use.

• Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment.

• Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

• Ability to use interpersonal skills when interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel, customers, and suppliers.

• Ability to use computers to prepare appropriate reports and documents.

• Ability to make decisions using sound judgment while complying with policies, procedures, appropriate principles and applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

• Ability to develop/demonstrate research and presentation skills.

• Ability to develop and maintain professional and effective relationships with internal and external customers.

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills

• Bachelor Degree

• Knowledge of general and cost accounting principles, auditing principles, and computer systems and financial software applications

Pay Information

Full-Time Salary Range: $48880 – $83000

Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
