Job Summary

The Accounting Manager of Corporate Accounting is responsible for coordinating and optimizing outsourced accounting activities. This role ensures alignment with service-level expectations by measuring provider performance, tracking volumes, and maintaining strong collaboration between internal teams and external service partners.

Job Description

Key Accountabilities

• Drive execution of complex financial tasks and responsible for reviewing team deliverables
• Selects, develops, motivates and coaches a highly skilled and technical staff to ensure high productivity and quality of work
• Provides support to other departments as a subject matter expert
• Provides technical expertise to support maintenance and improvements of internal systems

Role Specific Accountabilities:

• Supports compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls and finance transformation initiatives and process improvement efforts.
• Oversees day-to-day coordination of outsourced accounting activities to ensure operational efficiency and service quality.
• Monitors and reports on service provider performance, including volume tracking and SLA compliance.
• Supports process optimization and standardization across outsourced functions.
• Maintains documentation and governance over outsourced processes, controls, and reporting responsibilities.

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, MBA preferred
• 5+ years in Accounting or other Finance field
• Experience preferred in the Energy industry
• 2+ years experience as a Manager / Supervisor
• CPA preferred
• Experience with accounting and/or reporting systems
• Strong leadership, problem solving and communication skills
