Accounts Assistant in Dundee, United Kingdom

We are looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant to join our finance team, the role is well suited to either a part-qualified accountant or an experienced individual looking for a new challenge on a part-time basis (2 days per week or 15 hours across the week).

At Outplay you will play an active role within the finance team reporting to the Financial Planning and Analysis Manager.

Areas of Delivery 

• Processing purchase invoices and managing accounts payable function

• Credit control and resolving invoice disputes with suppliers

• Supplier statement reconciliations

• Preparing weekly payment reports for management and entering bank payments into the system.

• Manage accounts mailboxes and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.

• Bank account reconciliations and credit card transaction processing

• Assisting with month/year-end activities for accurate and timely account reconciliation

• Providing financial data analysis requests and supporting external audit queries

• Performing various ad hoc accounts administration tasks as required

• Working within a small finance team, supporting development and ensuring reporting deadlines are met.

• Contribute ideas, solutions and energy across all areas of output for Outplay

• Operate in an agile manner, confidently managing regular tasks as well as bespoke projects.

  Desired Talent 

• Proven experience in a similar accounts support role                   

• Good working knowledge of accounts functions and processes

• Knowledge of Sage or similar cloud-based accounting software.

• High level of knowledge of the Microsoft suite of products particularly Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.

• Relevant certifications (e.g., AAT) are desirable.

• Driven by the highest standards of accuracy;

• Focused, highly organised individual with experience of working autonomously

• Excellent communication and time management skills;
