£55,000 – £65,000Butler Rose Public Practice are delighted to be support our client, an 11 partner, well-established firm of Chartered Accountants, based in Northeast London that are eager to recruit a highly skilled, experienced, and qualified senior accounting professional to join the existing team.The firm’s diverse client base spans a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on serving owner-managed businesses and their entrepreneur owners. Additionally, the firm expertly supports UK subsidiaries of large international groups.Role Requirements –
The ideal candidate will take responsibility for a portfolio of clients, providing exceptional service and overseeing all aspects of statutory accounts work. You will also lead a team of professionals in delivering high-quality results, ensuring that all deadlines are met and be comfortable leading and developing members of the Accounts team.

• Planning jobs and liaising with the client to consider both their needs and the key areas relating to the assignment.
• Consider use of outsourcing versus jobs being done in-house.
• Preparing the budget and timing and sign off with the client ensuring these are adhered to.
• Managing the assignment lifecycle as it proceeds, delegating and reviewing work of staff to ensure that standards are met.
• Providing timely feedback to partners on issues identified with clients and producing a high-quality complete file with minimal review points.
• Identifying additional potential business revenue for the Firm and explore these with the client.
• Manage team performance and development to ensure high quality work is always submitted, ensuring timely feedback given to team members and feeding back to Partners regularly on overall team development.
• Ensure milestones, probationary reviews and annual appraisals are carried out on time.

Person Requirements –

• Ideally ACA/ACCA qualified with at least 4+ years’ experience gained working for a well sized UK based accountancy practice managing your own client portfolio.
• Extensive experience of statutory accounts and management accounts
• Experience of managing and developing a team is essential.
• Knowledge of current UK GAAP accounting standards.
• Highly proficient in the use of Xero, CaseWare, Sage and CCH an advantage.
