The role of Associate Director, Network & Security Infrastructure is to support the Singtel IT in architecting, building, and operating an modern, effective and efficient network infrastructure services to support the various critical systems that in turn to support business operations. 

The candidate lead, drive, innovate, and set direction of the enterprise network infrastructure services, including network security implementation across all corporate networks.

The candidate implements and secure the network infrastructure systems in accordance to industry standards and best practices, maintain high quality standards in day-to-day operations and during project delivery. The role will serve both the internal (Singtel IT) and external customers (indirectly from all the business units).

The candidate need to bring in continuous improvement culture to his/her team, providing guidance and coaching to develop talent and create performance team to sustain the BAU operations and support new initiatives from technology innovative or from business related projects

Key Responsibilities includes:

• Strategic planning of the key initiatives evolves Singtel’s network infrastructure systems in line with advent of technologies:

1. Strategic planning for long, mid and short term, translating these strategic to implementable plans.
2. Implement the proposed strategy to realize the desired outputs and outcomes.
3. Manages the associated Capex for projects and Opex in operations.

• Manages the Solution Design & Implementation Team. The scope of work includes:

1. Network System Architecture Design and Project Delivery.
2. Network Security Design and Project Delivery.
3. Network Disaster Recovery Design and Project Delivery
4. Networking Design for Applications and Project Delivery
5. Networking Design for Hybrid Multi-Cloud and Delivery

• Provide Network Operations Support to Singtel Group. The scope of work includes:

1. Network Operations Support.
2. This includes support of our DC sites plus network support to various Singtel office building, Exchanges, and overseas office.
3. Network Connectivity from On-prem to Hybrid Multi-Cloud.
4. Firewall Operations Support
5. Load Balancer Operations Support
6. VPN Operations Support
7. Network Security Operations Support, NAC, IPS/IDS, AAA
8. Remote Access Management

• Drive the Network Transformation journey, to implement and support:
• SDN and SDWAN
• Active-Active Data Centre with GSLB (GTM, LTM)
• Next Generation Firewall & Load Balancer
• NAC Solution for All network connected locations.
• Zero Trust Network and Micro-segmentation
• Network Connectivity from On-prem to Hybrid Multi-Cloud
• Support next generation of Proxy solution.

1. Tech Refresh on-time and in line with advent of technologies

• Establish & Maintain Network Infrastructure & Security Standards, and Best Practices.
• Support & Maintain the Application workloads migration into SDN & Cloud.
• Strong in People Management, Create Performance Team, Build Talent.
• Enable the KL & SG Network team to deliver the 24×7 Operations support.
• Build Secure environment with industry standards, to comply with industry benchmark.
• Support multi vendors, multi platforms, multi systems which is unique to the company.
• Undertake responsibility in Project demand request planning, Architecture design, Solution evaluation, Procurement of hardware and software, and Project timeline delivery.
• Ensure continuous process improvement and uplift service level standard to achieve optimal efficiency, increase productivity and meet high customer expectation and satisfaction.
• To keep abreast of new technology and recommend implementing the “right-fit” technology to increase the productivity and service standards within organization.
• Support and Drive the Infrastructure Services Lifecycle Management.
• Support AOP initiatives and manage the CAPEX and OPEX targets defined by the Group.

Skills for Success:

• IT/Engineering related Degree or equivalent
• Network and Security related Certifications.
• At least 15 years in managing the network operations, in enterprise level (>2000 staffs) with multi locations.
• Technical skills – TCP/IP, IPv4, IPv6, Routers, Switches, Wireless Mgmt, VPN, VLAN, VPLS, MPLS, interworking OSPF, EIGRP, IGRP, RIP, BGP, IPSec, GRE/L2TP tunnel, NAT, DNS, NAC, IPAM, SDN, SDWAN, Clouds connectivity
