Administrative / NFE Project Assistant (Intern) – Athens

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual for the role of Administrative/NFE (Non-Formal Education) Project Assistant Intern with one of our partner organisations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of education, humanitarian aid, and community development, particularly in the context of refugee support. You will play a key role in assisting with administrative functions, curricula development, lesson delivery, and volunteer support, while actively contributing to the monitoring and evaluation of ongoing projects. Requirements & Competencies:

  • Minimum age: 21 or older
  • Clean criminal record
  • Available for a minimum of 3 months
  • Education: University degree in Education or a related field
  • Proficiency in Technology: Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in using smartphones and basic office software
  • Graphic design skills: ability to create posters and flyers using design software or other tools
  • Interest in teaching: Passionate about education, with a genuine interest in teaching and working with diverse communities
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, knowledge of Greek, French, German, Farsi, Arabic, Pashto, Dari, or other context-relevant languages highly advantageous
  • Strong interpersonal and adaptability skills, comfortable in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and the ability to work effectively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of humanitarian context: Strong understanding of the work refugee context in Greece, including the challenges and needs of displaced populations. Willingness to stay informed on current developments in the sector.

An international volunteer is eligible to claim the reimbursement of 250 euros per month for full-time support (30 hours per week) or 125 euros for part-time (15 hours per week).
