SUMMARY
The Agri Business Manager is responsible for maintaining existing customers as well as expanding the customer base in the assigned region. Identifies new business opportunities that will enhance the Business Unit’s market share expansion. Develop business plans and strategies that support corporate goals and initiatives. Works in synergy with both the Regional Business Units and senior Business Unit management to achieve specific goals. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage the business development phases of opportunities.
Relationship building with new and existing clients.
Cold calling and follow-up on leads with targeted accounts.
Lead proposal and sales development activities.
Maintain a monthly forecast of sales opportunities in the pipeline.
Work closely with the management team and others, as needed, to develop and implement strategic planning.
Develop strategies for establishing partnerships and business relationships to market the Company’s products and services and manage such relationships.
Develop and validate viable business models for business partnerships and acquisitions.
Seek out and research prospective projects through phone calls, travel, attending conferences, and utilizing the internet.
Market new and existing customers through the creation, development and implementation of various business solutions.
Provides support to upper management in sales negotiations, contract development, due diligence, and other business development or alliance development projects.
Strong presentation skills required.
Available and agreeable for frequent international travel.
Independent and demonstrated ability to work effectively with minimum supervision.
Good time management skills required.
Additional Responsibilities/Goal Setting.
Potential customer activity evaluation.
Submitting proposals (technical and commercial).
Technical presentations.
Monthly Business Development activity reports, including Sales Force data management.
Demonstrate teamwork with Operations.
Customer entertainment as appropriate.
Extensive international travel planning.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree required, with a concentration in Business or a technical field such as Engineering or a General Science preferred.
Ten years’ experience in business development, marketing, or sales is required.
Minimum 5 years of marketing/sales management experience.
Good Knowledge in the Agri field
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES
Proficiency in the Local language and English is required.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
