Primary Function

Responsible for the coordination of logistics process such as maritime transportation in bulk cargo motorvessels, port operations at origin and destination (planning, loading, discharge and Storage at Port), custom activities and Inland Freight in Colombia. Additionally assure and control the accountable for import processes to guarantee on-time and on-quality delivery of Agri-products for Cali and Lima Plants.

Critical Deliverables

  • Strategic Planning: Responsible for the execution of the Agri-Products integrated logistics Strategy.
  • Operations and execution: Coordinating and monitoring all the logistics operations with all the suppliers and stakeholders such as vessel nomination, bulk carriers loading at ports of origin, stow plans, shipments, bulk carriers discharge, and transportations to delivery points using the best logistics practices.
  • Support the negotiation processes related to logistics activities through KPI and other logistics information.
  • Cost Reduction and Efficiencies vs. Market: strong ability to achieve cost reduction and efficiencies vs. market according with the strategic plan and workday Goals Evaluation.
  • Logistics Processes: Open mind and skills to develop strategies to optimize agri-products logistics performance and efficiencies.
  • Agility: Strong ability to timely solve logistics issues, exploring different alternatives to offset challenges and to achieve the best solution.
  • Flexibility: Strong ability to adapt logistics process timely to any change in law, regulations and new activities related with logistics and customs processes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, International Trade).
  • 3 to 4 years of experience in Logistics and International Trade.
  • English (Intermediate)
  • Understanding of the Agri-products logistics in Colombia and Peru.
  • Understanding of Grain Bulk carriers Market for Motor vessels contracting.
  • Strong ability to develop and articulate an effective logistic strategy.
  • Strong ability to bring creative ideas and logistics projects focused on cost reduction and logistics efficiencies.
  • Leadership, strong networking, influencing skills and organizational capabilities required.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to communicate effectively at multiple levels of the organization.
  • Ability to negotiate issues and solve problems through creative, innovative solutions challenging traditional methods.
  • Computer Skills with proficiency level (SAP, Power BI, Office (particularly advanced excel)).
  • Active participation on strategies development to optimize logistics processes through KPI.
  • Suppliers Evaluation and feedback.
  • Internal Relationships: Maintain a productive and effective relationship with the main areas related with agri-products supply, to ensure clear and proper flow of information to achieve internal customer satisfaction.
