  • Monitors daily operation of the warehouse air section with the team lead.
  • Ensures implementation of Quality Management Systems.
  • Collaborates with team members to develop KPIs and monitors individual performance.
  • Ensures compliance with company quality procedures for contracted suppliers.
  • Maintains proactive communication and relationships with peers, superiors, and immediately informs the superior of any discrepancies, problems, non-performance, or non-observance.
  • Works closely with the supervisor to safely manage trailer load capacity.
  • Prints off export manifests and trailer check sheets for each load, attaching LUS label.
  • Marks any discrepancies on both the manifest and trailer check sheets when trailers are loaded/offloaded and ensures they are signed.
  • Notifies the shift supervisor immediately of any damages and takes pictures.
  • Cross-checks the number of manifests and shipping documents.
  • Ensures compliance with health and safety guidelines and procedures, including the use of PPE by all team members and warehouse visitors.
  • Participates in daily cleaning functions and signs off on the check sheet.
  • Labels import/export freight as required.
  • Loads and offloads domestic and international vehicles, marks manifests, and notifies discrepancies and damages.
  • Completes all warehouse-related documentation for operations.
  • Performs all warehouse-related tasks in the Roadfreight application (Freightsoft).
  • Addresses operational irregularities, customer complaints, and implements corrective actions.
  • Performs physical barcode scanning as required.
  • Maintains good housekeeping, including daily emptying of bins.
  • Coordinates loading of Road Export vehicles on Saturdays and completes final weekly inventories.
  • Orders, controls stock, and maintains warehouse supplies and equipment.
  • Monitors day-to-day health and safety in the warehouse and highlights areas of concern.
  • Facilitates customer and quality audits.
  • Controls the DGF bonded warehouse.
  • Works closely with the Yardman to manage trailer capacity and lane control.
  • Sends all papers and manifests to Cedar Drive as soon as possible.
  • Serves as the key point of contact for Air & Ocean Operations.
  • Ensures adherence to DGF procedures for handling Air & Ocean cargo.
  • Monitors warehouse compliance with Aviation Security regulations.
  • Performs Dangerous Goods (DG) checks for Air Export cargo.
  • Manages resources in collaboration with Warehouse Supervisors.
  • Coordinates sub-contractor feeder vehicles to the Airport.
  • Becomes proficient in specialist modes of transport for Airfreight, such as Dry Ice, Envirotainers, ULD loading, and the use of thermal blankets.
  • Participate in the implementation of operational processes and perform work to the standards of Good Distribution practice (GDP) for Life Science business, as required.

  • Leadership and training skills to develop team members
