We currently have a vacancy for an Application/Cloud Architect fluent in English, to offer his/her services as an expert who will be based in Brussels, Belgium. The work will be carried out either in the company’s premises or on site at customer premises. In the context of the first assignment, the successful candidate will be integrated in the Development team of the company that will closely cooperate with a major client’s IT team on site.Your tasks

• Design and document enterprise-level architecture, encompassing business processes, information flows, applications, and technology infrastructure;
• Establish and enforce technology standards and best-practices to ensure consistency and interoperability across the organization;
• Document and communicate architectural decisions (Wiki);
• Provide guidance and oversight to project teams;
• Manage and facilitate the project’s transition.

Requirements

• University degree in IT or relevant discipline, combined with minimum 15 years of relevant working experience in IT;
• Experience with programming languages and development practices to understand application development processes (JEE / .NET / JavaScript etc.);
• Experience with middleware technologies and their role in integrating different components of an IT architecture deployed in hybrid environments;
• Experience with DevOps principles and experience with continuous integration and deployment;
• Experience with API design principles and experience in managing APIs for efficient system integration;
• Knowledge of information system security principles and the ability to design secure systems and infrastructure;
• Knowledge of modern SOA-based architecture underpinned by reusable and scalable services;
• Knowledge of application architecture, including designing and integrating software applications in an organization;
• Proficiency in popular enterprise architecture frameworks such as TOGAF or others;
• Understanding of cloud computing concepts and experience with cloud platforms (e.g. Azure / AWS / ServiceNow);
• Excellent command of the English language French language would be considered an asset.
