The Battery department is responsible for providing Battery/Module/Cell testing services, including performance, life cycle, durability, abuse, strip & rate.
Role is to support all types of Battery testing (including Performance, life cycle, durability and abuse) along with all associated strip and rate activity.ResponsibilitiesEnsures safe working at all times in line with Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of WorkSupports logistics and setup of Battery performance and life cycle testsSupports logistics and setup of Battery abuse testsSupports logistics and execution of Battery strip and rate activitiesSupports facility breakdown resolutionSupports facility maintenance activitiesSupports facility calibration activitiesUndertake analysis of results, including statements of conformity or opinions and interpretationsTo report, review and provide authorisation of resultsAct in accordance with the behaviours for UTAC colleagues at all timesExpected career progression after this apprenticeship?The Apprenticeship will provide you with a good understanding of automotive battery technology, test facilities and testing methodsQualificationsQualifications5 GCSE’s (or equivalent) including English, Maths and Science at grades C or level 4 and above (required)ExperienceNo experience required but an interest in automotive battery technology and engineering is essentialSkills & Personal BehavioursCompetent IT skills (mainly MS Office including Word & Excel)Excellent attention to detailWillingness to work and a keen desire to achieve academicallyTeam player and a mature approach to workAbility to use initiative and to problem solveExcellent communication including customer facing skillsFlexible and self- drivenPositive autonomous attitudeAdditional InformationFor you, as a potential UTAC team member, we believe that the international and diverse nature of our business combined with the passion, energy and friendliness of our people create a great place to work.
